Alki Beach Park

Puget Sound
An island-studded inlet of the Pacific Ocean that extends south 100 miles to Olympia. It was discovered in 1787, but it wasn't until 1792 that it was actually explored. Explorer Capt. George Vancouver named it for his aide, Peter Puget.
